Customs is an official body and a public administration, which is responsible for regulating all activities related to the entry and exit of products, people and even the capital of a country. They are usually located in border areas, coastal zones and airports and their main function is to comply with current legislation and collect taxes.
Customs offices also carry out tax, security, health and international trade statistics controls.
All imports/exports of goods are subject to customs clearance for which the payment of a fee, tax or customs duty may be requested.
