Sending suitcases with the eBay Delivery

With the shipping platform you can send luggage, even if we do not have a service dedicated exclusively to suitcases.

We remind you that suitcases and luggage must always be packed in a box and it is important to weigh it and measure it precisely.

Any damage (scratches, tears, broken handles or wheels, etc.) or loss of the suitcase and / or its contents are not covered by the insurance as the suitcase is considered as the casing of the contents.

Transport companies generally take in baggage, even if they are only wrapped. However, remember that in case of loss or damage, if you do not use a correct packaging for your suitcase, the shipping platform insurance will not be able to intervene in case of transport problems.

Even if you are sending baggage, you will need to put the waybill outside the packaging. For this reason it is important to use a cardboard box that will allow you to permanently attach the courier label. Applying it directly to the suitcase fabric may come off more easily during transport.

Packing Option 1 (not covered by insurance): Nylon film

  1. Insert a copy of the waybill inside the suitcase
  2. Apply a second copy of the shipping document on one of the outer sides of the bag
  3. Place the luggage vertically
  4. Tie the film to the handle of the suitcase so that it cannot come off
  5. Wrap the suitcase generously in the nylon
  6. Fix the film with adhesive tape.
  7. Insert a third copy of the transport document in a transparent bag and secure it securely

Packing Option 2 (insurance coverage up to a maximum of € 50): Box or Cardboard

  1. Insert a copy of the waybill inside the suitcase
  2. Apply a second copy of the shipping document on one of the outer sides of the bag
  3. Get a cardboard container slightly larger than the size of the suitcase or a cardboard box to open to X.
  4. Remove any other labels or alternative addresses on the box that could confuse the courier
  5. Wrap the suitcase with the cardboard
  6. Seal the cardboard box carefully with a generous amount of packaging tape
  7. Insert a third copy of the transport document in a transparent bag and secure it securely
