You will only need a printer if you select a service where it's mandatory to print and paste the label on the box or envelope.
During the purchase process, you can identify them by the following badges:

Printer required.

No printer required.
For services marked as no printer required, the carrier will label the shipment at the time of collection, when the package is dropped off at the office/ParcelShop, or directly at their facilities (depending on the purchased service).
