General details
- Service drop off at post office and next day delivery service. Delivers by close of business the next working day.
- Working days are Monday to Friday and exclude Saturdays, Sundays, Good Friday and bank or public holidays
- Three delivery will be attempted, after that parcel will be held for 7 working days for collection at their nearest delivery office before being returned to the sender.
- Maximum Weight: 25kg, Max length 120cm, Max all three dimensions 150cm.
- Track shipments directly from the web of the carrier with label shipping number.
- Customer service Packlink available from Monday to Friday from 8am to 8pm, and Saturday from 9am to 6pm excluding holidays.

An Post Express drop off
- Drop off your parcel at the nearest An Post post office at Find your local Post Office.
- Express Post An Post delivers by close of business the next working day.
- Signature required option if posting within the Republic of Ireland is included.
- Maximum Weight: 25kg, Max length 120cm, Max all three dimensions 150cm.
Labels
- Apply a copy to the package with adhesive tape, so that it is clearly visible.
- When dispatching the parcel request a receipt to be used as a proof of dispatch.
- If you wish, you can insert an additional copy inside the package so that your package is always identifiable in case of incorrect delivery or routing error by the transport company.

Dispatch and delivery details
- Collection times depending on the post office Find your local Post Office.
- Deliveries are Monday to Friday from 8am to 8pm
- The evening before An Post is scheduled to deliver the parcel, a text message and email will be sent to the recipient detailing that their parcel is due to be delivered tomorrow. If they are not going to be home or would like to make alternative delivery arrangements one of the six alternative delivery options can be selected:
- Leave parcel at a chosen "Safe place", a free text option allows to tell exactly what the unique safe place is.
- Have the parcel delivered to an alternative address (such as work address).
- Have the parcel delivered to a neighbour of their choice for safekeeping.
- Ask for delivery to occur on an alternative day up to five working days after the initial contact.
- Request to leave the parcel at a convenient and secure "collection point" such as a local post. There’s a list of local locations from which the recipient can pick or select from a map and view the location.
- Redirect the parcel to a Parcel Locker. An Post lockers will allow recipient to pick up their parcels in their own time.
- On the day of delivery, An Post sends a reminder saying where and what time their parcel is due to be delivered.

Transit times
The transit of the service is only estimated and not guaranteed, as specified at the time of quote:
Delivery times vary depending on the destination. Standard Post items are delivered on the next working day in Ireland.
- Delivery times for estimated transit services are indicative and non-binding, estimated in working days from Monday to Friday, from the date of receipt of the shipment.
- The indicated transit does not include an extra 48-96 hours to/from to remote areas.
- Weekends, non-working days in transit and destination countries, public holidays and national holidays, together with delays caused by customs, the Public Administration or other events beyond our control, weather or logistics, are never included in the estimate of delivery times provided in our offers. We inform you that if there are logistical problems (delays with distribution, accidents, traffic, bad weather, strikes, etc..) the date of delivery may change.
- An Post does not pay compensation in respect of delay to items within the service.

- Food: only solid and non-perishable liquid foodstuffs that are properly packaged and packaged in plastic containers are accepted, with the exception of those that can be transported and/or stored at a controlled temperature.
- Specific reserve of damage: In the unlikely event that you your parcel get damaged, the receiver must let the driver know and request to sign the delivery note with reserve that the state of the goods and their packaging (e.g. damaged), as there is no value in the affixing of generic reserves (e.g. reserve of control).
